Thanks for your comment Stephen,
I try hard to publish all information I receive from the LRT committee. You can reach the committee by sending an email to the lrt@shaganappicommunity.ca list.

Hi

I am wondering if anyone has more details on this LRT station. I wasn't at the December Open House. Was there any indication how the walking bridge over Bow Trail would be affected, and is there any impact on the park where the community hall is? I am also wondering if additional retaining walls will be added along Bow Trail to attenuate noise. Finally, I am interested if parking in the residential areas by LRT users has been discussed.

Best.

Thank you for the comment Jill,
It is important to voice your concern at the open house on December 9 and 11. Your comments are very valid and the more people know about them, the better.
I believe that changes in traffic, parking are all related to the LRT construction and any plan should include measures similar to those taken in other communities to combat deteriorating conditions related to traffic (Scarboro, Mount Royal, Crescent Heights, etc.)

I appreciate the renderings are to allow us to view the actual LRT station and proposed roadway, but I would like to also see where the sound wall is going to be and any trees along that wall. Your "boxes" make it look like there are office buildngs in the area and what you need to appreciate is that these are family homes. No one cares what goes on with these stations, highways, etc until they are literally in our backyards so unless someone from the city lives along Bow Trail, I dare say you do not know what we are feeling.

I would like to see the entire plan. By the way my house is now the second house in(since two are being removed)on the north side of Bow Trail and I already have people parking in front of my house and taking the bus to the downtown.

Best Regards, Jill Schofield
