COVID Winter in Shaganappi

The Shaganappi Community Association would like to help make everyone’s skate at Shaganappi safe and enjoyable. Prior to enjoying your time on the rink, we ask that you observe the following rules and guidelines:

Membership

The rink is provided for the use of Shaganappi Community Association members only. If you are not a current member, you can click here to purchase/renew your membership. Please note that non-residents of Shaganappi are both required and able to sign up for a membership too. Your contributions help the association and its volunteers maintain all facilities including the tennis court, hall, basketball court, and of course the skating rink!

COVID-19 Restrictions

For the latest guidance related to COVID-19 restrictions, please refer to the province's latest public health measures found here:

https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx

In addition, to provide members with up to date general public health measures, the province in June provided specific guidance for sport, fitness and recreation activities here:
COVID 19 Guidance for Sports, Fitness and Recreation Activities

Please check back for updates. While this guidance doesn’t strictly apply to our open ice surface, we support the following general provincial guidance set last year for open outdoor rinks:

Skating is permitted with household members only.

If you are concerned about compliance or crowding, please contact Calgary Community Standards via 311 or Calgary Police Services (non-emergency line at 403.266.1234).

We recognize this is an unprecedented time in the world, and appreciate both your support and the respect that you continue to show to your community’s volunteers and your neighbours.
