Resources For Community Members

This is meant to be a list of local (within walking distance of our community, mostly) resources that support community members in a variety of ways. Services offered may change at any time. This list is ‘living’ meaning it will be updated as more services are introduced to the SCA.

Provides emergency family shelter for families who are currently experiencing homelessness. Families can be together in a safe, homelike environment and receive the support and the resources they need.

The mission at Good Companions is to promote heightened quality of 50 plus life through education, recreation and wellness activities in an environment fostering fun, social interaction and community involvement- safe and accessible to all.

In partnership with Happipad, the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) offers a companion housing pilot project in Calgary. The housing project helps renters in finding affordable housing and generate income for homeowners. The aim is to match people who are looking for safe, affordable accommodation with homeowners who have a spare room to rent in their homes.
